(STMW) — One man was killed and at least seven other people were wounded in shootings in Chicago between Friday afternoon and early Saturday, police said.
About 1:20 a.m. Saturday, a shooting in the Riff Music Lounge in the South Loop left a 36-year-old man dead and another man wounded, police said.
The 36-year-old and another man in the club — located in the 2200 block of South Michigan — were arguing about a woman, police said. The other man was escorted out of the club and later returned, pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The man was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
